Fine Art and Handcrafted Gifts from Local Artisans

Oswego’s premier source for fine art and handmade gifts changed its name to Riverside Artisans at the beginning of 2017.  The shop at 191 West 1st St. in the Canal Commons in downtown Oswego closed briefly in early January for the transition, but we're open now, seven days a week!

Riverside Artisans offers a wide range of professional fine art and crafts, as well as an opportunity to meet the artists who have created them.  From original paintings and handcrafted wood work, to fused glass and hand-made jewelry, Riverside Artisans is the premier destination to look for that unique gift for yourself and for a special someone.  Oswego’s leading gift shop takes pride in reasonably priced, handmade quality crafts and fine art.

Open seven days a week

Cindy Schmidt - Artist of the Month for September, 2017

Painter Cindy Schmidt being featured as Artist of the Month for September at the Riverside Artisans Cooperative.  According to Cindy, “I’ve gone through a rapid revolution that began with painting portraits and seascapes. I have settled into creating fantasy, fairy tale paintings and The Cranky Cat Collection, using acrylic paint on stretched canvas, canvas panels or hardboard.”

To honor Cindy as September’s Artist of the Month, Riverside Artisans is holding a free raffle of her work.  The winner will receive their choice of a 6 x 6 inch Cranky Cat tile.  Just stop by the shop at 191 W. 1st St. in the Canal Commons in downtown Oswego to fill out a raffle ticket to register for the drawing at the end of the month.  No purchase is necessary. The winner will be notified at the end of September.
