Suzanne Stout is a retired high school teacher who found her interest in nature after finding the time to explore their many acres of land in Fulton, NY. She and her husband Jim now show their products at Riverside Artisans, and she continues to explore nature’s gifts.
Suzanne uses flora, fauna, earth, stone, and wood that she confiscates from Jim’s barn full of slabs, driftwood, and what she finds in her travels through nature. She uses live plants and flowers, dried flowers from their gardens, moss and anything that catches her eye resulting in pieces that are unique and always a surprise when done.
Trying new ideas, some successful or not, are fun activities that she likes to share with others in her varied classes at Riverside Artisans. Suzanne has also done florals for weddings, private events, and individual arrangements using mostly rural or informal themes. She also helps with catering events.
